Abony Family Tennis Center
The Abony Family Tennis Center is the only fixed structure six-court indoor facility in the Atlantic provinces and as such will be a regional Center for tennis and a catalyst for the growth of tennis in this region of Canada. There will be substantial benefits for not just the Capital Region but the province of New Brunswick as well.

Mission, Mandate and Core ValuesMission StatementAbony Family Tennis Center seeks to promote healthy living through the sport of tennis for players of all ages, abilities, and aspirations. The Abony Family Tennis Center is a community-based venue for quality tennis programs, instructional expertise, and recreational and competitive play in the Capital Region and New Brunswick.

Mandate
The Abony Family Tennis Center (AFTC) is a not-for-profit organization with the following mandate:
  • Promote healthy living for people of all ages and abilities through the sport of tennis
  • Facilitate recreational and competitive tennis for players of all abilities, while promoting sportsmanship, camaraderie, and tennis excellence
  • Partner with Tennis Canada, Tennis New Brunswick, the University of New Brunswick (UNB), school districts in the Capital Region, and all levels of government
  • Ensure the Abony Family Tennis Center, Board, and Staff operate in ways that are respectful, accountable, transparent, and sustainable

Core Values
The Abony Family Tennis Center values are: Respect, ethics, creativity, teamwork, confidence, accountability, safe tennis and fun. The Board, staff, volunteers and participants taking part in activities at the Abony Family Tennis Center and sponsored by the AFTC will:
  • Show respect for all others, including being inclusive, accepting and supportive, and respecting the equality of all people
  • Behave in an ethical manner, with high integrity, and sportsmanship
  • Be creative and open-minded, having an unbiased approach to all ideas, new and old
